Very sad to hear of Mike's passing. Harvey's/Swiss Chalet was my first place of employment and Mike was a great boss to work for. I have fond memories of that period and all of the great staff functions we had. Far to young to go. RIP Mike.

My condolences to the family and friends of Mike. This comes as a shock to David and I. We met Mike as Harvey's owners and we played in a few of Mike's charity golf and hockey tournaments. He was a great competitor but at the same time liked to joke around and have fun. He will be sadly missed. The Sudbury Boys John and David

To the Gibb family, I was totally shocked to hear the news of Mike's passing. Ran into him when I was in North Bay in May and as always enjoyed the warm greeting I received from Mike and the ear to ear smile. Always enjoyed his competitiveness when I officiated him in hockey and very appreciative of his community minded spirit while at Swiss Chalet and then Boston Pizza. Another great ambassador for the City of North Bay gone way too young. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time.

I was Mike's trainer when he played for the Cornwall Royals in the Quebec Junior Hockey league and while I last had lunch with him a few years back while on a trip up north at his Harvey's location we had a chance to laugh and remember our time together in the 70's. Still that every present smile . R.I.P. Gibby

Oh my what a shock...I have known Mike since Oakley Park Public school in Barrie and if the truth be know we were sweethearts in grade 8. Many times over the 40 years since I have thought of him....probably because he made me laugh and was very charismatic.
I followed his career success thought the franchise businesses of Swiss chalet and Boston Pizza with info provided by Thelma Gibb when I ran in to her?
The co-op midget Wrigley win was one of the most exciting things to happen in our city !
Anyone who was here and saw the team Captian Mike Gibb was very proud
Mike you have also
created a wonderful family who I am sure will miss you dearly. Not only will the folks in North Bay be mourning your loss, but many in Barrie as well.
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.
Condolences also to Steven...rembering those Ottaway Days....Lizzy
