Shocked and saddened by this sudden passing.
Susan and I resumed regular correspondence in the last couple of years and she visited my daughter (Skye) and me in Calgary this past February.

Always quick of wit, able to see the good in others, she was embarking on a new chapter in life as an ESL teacher. She was a dedicated Mother and very proud of both her boys...and cared deeply for her parents.

They, and everyone who knew her will miss her terribly.

I had the privilege of being a friend of Susan's. Unfortunately we haven't been in touch since she moved away. When I reminisce I just can't help but smile and remember how much fun she was! Definitely a beautiful one-of-a-kind gal. My sincere condolences to the families. Diane.

We are shocked and very saddened by the passing of Susan. We spent many summers with her family at their family cottage in Anchorage Bay and just recently saw her on her visit to Brockville to see her Mom. We send our deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Susan's family and to her parents, Bob and Doreen and her siblings at this difficult time. May she rest in peace. I was startled and saddened to learn of Susan's death. I knew her only at a distance, as a motivated student-teacher with whom it was a pleasure to communicate, someone who was looking forward to qualifying formally as an English language teacher. Our last communications were about her plans for practicum teaching in the coming autumn; she was nervous, but eager, because she appreciated her time with learners so much.

I will be thinking of those she has left behind.
