I am very sorry and grieved to hear of my friend Duanes passing. It was a great pleasure to have known Duane as a good friend and an honor to have served with him in 1 PPCLI. You saved my life in Cyprus and I am thankful for that. He will be greatly missed. You have done a great service to your country Brother and it is time to stand down. You haven't really gone anywhere Duane, you are just on leave. I will miss you Brother and will see you at the Great RE- ORG. All good soldiers go to Heaven. RIP Brother.

I meet Duane in grade 8 and since then, we stayed friends for life. Together, we experienced a lot, traveled all-over the place, accomplished a lot and played way too much hockey together. It is with a heavy heart that I think of one of my best friends. RIP Duane.
