Donna Dora Ann Warren (1943-2024)

It is with sadness that the family of Donna Warren (Duquette) announce her passing on April 5, 2024 at the Serenity Hospice after a brief illness.

She was surrounded by her family and beloved husband Ken of 61 years.

Cherished mother of Shelly (Dave Pelland), Cris (Earlene Chambers) and Brent. Much loved Nana to Alisha and Brennan (Anne) Fournier and Sarah and Ethan Warren.

Donna was born in Calvin Township on October 3, 1943 as the seventh of eight children to  Alfred and Mae (Davison) Duquette. Predeceased by Clement (Laura),  Rene (Helen), Gene (Pauline), Marcel, Delbert (Lena) and Lynn. She is survived by Vernon (Gloria) and sister-in-laws Margaret Duquette  Ruth (Dave) Gillespie. ”Auntie Donna” will be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as cousins and friends.

Donna worked for many years at Sears Catalogue and after retiring she became the friendly face of Sobeys for 20 years before retiring in her early 70’s.

She loved to golf and enjoyed many rounds with family tournaments and friends over the years.  Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren and grand puppies Tikka, Gus (Daisy and Susie). She had many cherished friendships and leaves behind some dear friends who have shown such kindness over the course of her illness.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors on Friday April 12, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at HILLSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 362 Airport Rd.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 10:00 am at

ST. PETER’S. PARISH , 299 Airport Road, North Bay. Interment will follow at  St. Mary’s Cemetery Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, donations to North Bay’s beautiful Serenity Hospice or the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
