Chamberlain, Douglas Allan (1951-2024)

It is with great sadness that the Chamberlain family announces the passing of Douglas on Wednesday April 3rd, 2024 at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice at the age of 72 years.

He was predeceased by his parents Donald & Donna Chamberlain. Loving husband of 50 years to Lorraine (Lafontaine).  Cherished father of Sean (Erinn) and Jennifer Hubley (Brad). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ruby, Isla, Rebecca and Bradley Jr.  He is also survived by his siblings Dean (Lynn), Dale (Karen), Steve (Mary), Lorna (Shane Gauthier), Shelly Mathieu (Peter), Rhonda Delachevrotiere (Bob Laferriere) and Patti, mother in law, Dolores Lafontaine, Brother in law and Sister in law, Maurice and Jeannine Savage as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. 

He retired from Northland Glass after dedicating himself to 50 years of service.

A devoted husband and father, he will be fondly remembered for his love of music travelling the world to play in bluegrass festivals with his group Blackstrap and his love of fishing.

Family receiving friends for a memorial visitation at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Friday April 12th from 6 until 8 pm and on Saturday April 13th from 11 until 12 pm with a short service to follow. A celebration of his life will follow at 1pm at the 406 Wing, 406 1st Ave W, North Bay

Donations in memory of Doug to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
