Adele Carla (Citrigno) Williams

Williams, Adele Carla  (nee Citrigno) -passed away peacefully surrounded by love at the NBRHC on Sunday March 5th at the age of 69 years. She was predeceased by her husband Montague David “Doc” Williams. She was the proud and loving mother of Matthew Williams. She will be sadly missed by her grandson Logan Williams, her brother and sister-in-law Fern and Angela Citrigno. Also survived by her in-laws Dr. Robin Williams and Dr. Kevin Foster, Eleanor and Duncan MacDonell, Martha and Don Cruikshank as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents Bruno and Rosina Citrigno.

Adele worked in the Insurance Industry for many years.  Her true passion was advocating and fundraising for a Hospice for North Bay.  She worked tirelessly to make the Nipissing Serenity Hospice a reality and through her dedication, made the community believe in her vision. Adele was also a long standing member of the Davedi Club serving as president of the Women’s Auxiliary.  Through her community involvement, Adele developed close friendships and was surrounded by amazing people some of whom became part of her family. She was blessed to have her “Group of Seven” giving her love and strength right through to her last days.  Adele always made sure everyone felt loved and cared for.  She will be forever remembered for her faith, kindness and compassion. 

As per her wishes cremation has taken place; visitation will be held on Friday March 10th at Christ Anglican Church, 312 Greenwood Ave., from 12:30 until 1:30 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers and food, donations in memory of Adele to the Christ Anglican Church Memorial Fund or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be appreciated by her family.
