Bertrand (Bert) Joseph Alex Duchesne

Duchesne, Bert – It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bertrand “Bert” Duchesne in his 89th year, on Friday, May 17th , at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Bert was a loving husband, father and grandfather and lived most of his long productive life in Bonfield.

Bert will be lovingly missed by his son Raymond, (Paulette); granddaughter Sophie-Anne, (Robert Barr); grandson Stéphan; great granddaughters Brielle and Alexie. He is survived by his sisters, Pierrette (Conrad Lafantaisie); Patricia (Maurice Morin) and brother Patrick (Cécile). Born to Eusebe and Pleina Duchesne May 6th , 1931 he  was the 4th of a family of eleven children.

He is predeceased by beloved wife Elzire (Bélecque); brothers Urbain, Gérald, Lauriant, Théodore and Léodore; and sisters Rita and Argentine.

Visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Services, on Saturday May 25th , 2019 from 1 pm followed by a 3:15 pm funeral service at the funeral home.

Donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre and /or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Bert était le conjoint de feue Elzire Bélecque et le fils de feu Eusebe Duchesne et de feue Pleina Demers.

Il laisse dans le deuil son fils unique Raymond, (Paulette), ses petits-enfants, Sophie (Rob Barr) et Stéphan; ses arrière-petites-filles, Brielle et Alexie. Il laisse également sa sœur, Pierrette (feu Conrad Lafantaisie), Patrick (Cécile) et Patricia (Maurice Morin).

Il fut prédécédé par ses frères et sœurs : Rita (Amyotte), Urbain, Gérald, Lauriant (Larry), Théodore, Argentine (Giroux) et Léodore.

Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu à 3:15 p. m. le samedi 25 mai, 2019 à l’Établissement Funéraire Hillside, 362 Airport Rd., North Bay, ON.

La famille recevra les condoléances à partir de 1 hr.

La famille désire remercier le personnel du Centre Hospitalier Régional de North Bay ainsi que le personnel de Cassellholme pour leurs excellents soins prodigués.
