Mom loved to take care of others and her hands were never idle, creating beautiful works of art, mouth watering meals and amazing desserts which she happily shared with her family and friends. She loved spending time with her children and their families and one of her cherished times were her weekly visits with her sister/best friend, Esther.
Florence was an active CWL member for over 50 years. For 23 years she organized a food bank fundraiser in her building as well as donating all of the proceeds raised from selling her beautiful crafts throughout the year.
Because of the loving and daily support given by our sister Geri, mom lived out her final years with dignity and independence, something she cherished and fought fiercely to hold onto throughout many medical setbacks.
Cassellholme’s Apple Street became mom’s home because of the exceptional care, compassion and friendship received by all of the staff. For this we will be forever grateful.
