Henry Anishnabie Obituary

Anishnabie, Henry (1940-2019) – It’s with tremendous sorrow that I announce the passing of my father Henry on March 6th, 2019 at the West Nipissing General Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Monique (Leblanc) (2013) and eldest daughter Gisele (2009). Dad & Grandpa will be solely missed by his daughter Michelle Banks (Thom) and his 3 grandchildren Roger, Emily (Charles) and Quinn.

Dad had a great career spanning 30+ years with E. B Eddy Forest products in Espanola. Starting with rolling logs on the river drive as a young teen to being a skidder operator; Dad was in his element in the forest. In his retirement he enjoyed fishing and hunting with long time friends Bob West and Fred Sackaney. He was a humble man, a man of great wisdom and spiritual strength. He will be sadly missed by best friend Trisha, nephew Peter, brother in law Charles Leblanc (Mila) along with many nephews, nieces and friends from all walks of life. Dad made friends wherever he went.

He was predeceased by his loving parents Noah & Edna Anishnabie, his adoring in-laws Romeo & Florence Leblanc as well as his siblings: Eva Beaucage, Flora Beaucage , Archie Anishnabie  & Gilbert Anishnabie (Victoria of North Bay).

He was the best fish fryer that ever was and could filet fish with his eyes closed. I will miss my father tremendously, but I know that he and Mom are together again enjoying a great waltz on the floors of heaven. Miigwetch daddy for everything you have ever done for our family. We will cherish your memory forever.

A huge thanks to Mike Michaud and Nazneen for all their years of patience and loyalty in caring for dad.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
