Jean (Winters) Olsen

Olsen, Jean - The family announces with sorrow the passing of Jean Marie Olsen (nee Winters) on Thursday May 31, 2018 at the West Nipissing General Hospital with her family by her side.

Born on January 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late George and Beatrice Winters and the beloved wife of Leslie Olsen of 59 years. Loved dearly by her children Elwood (predeceased), Susan, Michael, Wanda (predeceased), Kevin, Carl, Lisa, and spouses. Predeceased by her brother George and twin sister Joan, and survived by her caring sisters, Eva, Edna, Linda, Rita, Fonda, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. She was additionally cherished by the Olsen family; Ernie (predeceased), Ivy (predeceased), Dorothy (predeceased), Don, Fran, Albert (predeceased), Fay, Gary, and Raymond (predeceased).

In her life, Jean worked serving and bartending customers for over 35 years. She lived and died as a free spirit and her memory will live on.

Family receiving friends for a memorial visitation at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Saturday June 9^th from 10 am until 11 am. A celebration of her life will follow at 11am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at the Sturgeon Falls Union Cemetery.
