Mary (Sweeney) Hurst

Hurst, Mary (nee Sweeney) (1929- 2019).  Mary passed away peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan on Thursday June 13, 2019 at the age of 89 years. 

Predeceased by her husband George Hurst, parents Eugene and Angeline (nee McDonald) Sweeney, brothers Charlie, Joseph, Gerald, Christie, sisters Eleanor (Leo) and Rita. 

Dear mother of Frank (Tracy), Mike (Lou), Kathy and Teresa (Ken). 

She was a loving grandma to Danny (Melanie), Kevin (Jennifer), Jason (Chelsea), Jessica (Mikey) and  great grandchildren , Nathan, Kaylor, Cameron, Emma and Mila.  She also survived by several brothers and sisters - in- law. 

Mary will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great - grandmother and who always greeted people with a warm and gentle smile. 

A graveside service will be held at the Cobalt Catholic cemetery on August 3rd, 2019 at 2 pm. 

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Cowan, her doctor of many years and the nursing staff at Eastholme in Powassan for the exceptional care given to Mary.
