Nancy Eileen Blackadar

Blackadar- Nancy (nee Crysler) (March 24, 1930-January 2, 2014)- Nancy passed away peacefully following a valiant battle with cancer at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 83 years.

Predeceased by her husband Brook Blackadar, a daughter Lynn Caruso and a brother Don Crysler. Dear mother of Ken, Lynn (Frank Caruso), Mark (Rosanne), Jamie (Laurie) and Wendy (Dan McCann).  She was a loving  “gramzie”  to Ian, Darren and Carly Caruso, Jessica Arseneault, Crystal  Piette, Jonathan Blackadar, Nick Blackadar and 12 great grandchildren: Keara, Nevaeh, Jude, Tessa, Charlie, Elliott, Lyla, Brady, Mimi, Amber, Drey and Ashton. Also survived by a brother Ralph Crysler (Irma) and their family Sue, Neil, Ian and Jan.

Educated at McMaster University where she met Brook and later settled in North Bay on Lake Nipissing. Nancy worked at the Public Library until retiring in 1995. 

Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Sunday January 5, 2014 from 10 am until 12 noon. There will be a celebration of her life at the funeral home at 12 noon. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Nancy will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
