Roderick Slattery Obituary

Slattery Roderick (1931-2018)- Rod passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday April 14, 2018 at the age of 86 years.

He was the beloved husband of 65 years to Doris Slattery (nee Arsenault). Dear father of Brian (Anne), Steve (Leslie), Christine (Paul Gilbert), Micheal (Nancy) and Terry (Judy).

He was a loving grandad to 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Also survived by five sisters Elizabeth Louch, Peggy Shaw, Trudy Levely, Cathy Leblond and Paula Eaton.

Rod was a long time member and past president of the North Bay Scuba Club.

The family would like to relay a heartfelt thank you to Dr Ian Cowan for the exceptional care given to Rod over the years. It is comforting to know that Rod was cared for by a compassionate and caring person like Dr Cowan. We will forever be grateful.

As per his wishes there will be no visitation, a private family gathering to honour his life will be held at a later date.

Donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in memory of Rod will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
