Steven "Butch" Butler

Butler, Steven “Butch” (1998-2018) - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces his passing on April 30th 2018 at the Montford Hospital in Ottawa with his parents by his side.

Butch is survived by his parents Steven and Nicolle Butler and his 4 siblings Alex, Sarah, Bradly and Brady. He will be sadly missed by his grandparents Memere and Pepere (Victor and Gail Savard), Nana and Poppa (Linda and Marc Paquette) and Grandma and Grandpa (Lillian and Alex Butler) and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Butch was a gifted child growing up, his intelligence was noticeable at a young age, he had a love and respect for all living creations especially animals. He was a happy person, having overcome so much adversity in his life, he reminded his family on a daily basis of his strength and determination to live each day to the fullest. Butch would greet you with a smile even on hard days, he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to express special thanks to Michelle Tache child care specialist at CHEO hospital as well as palliative nurse Jackie for the exceptional care they provided Butch during his life.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday May 2nd 2018 at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus church on Thursday May 3rd at 11am.

Donations in Butch’s memory can be made to the CHEO/Child life services hospital.
