Obituary

Girard, Antoinette (Toni) passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on September 14, 2023 at the age of 85.

She was the beloved wife of 64 years to Jean-Guy (John). Dear mother to Francine, Marc (Tina) and Nicole (Lionel). Loving grandmother of Bradley (Melani), Bryan (Lisa), Michelle (A.J), Brittany (Chris), Ashlyn, Geoffrey (Jarrett), Jerrid, Mitchell and great grandmother of Benjamin, Vera, Zoey, Margot, Charlie and Lindsay. She will be sadly missed by all her siblings and many nieces and nephews. Toni is predeceased by her parents Antoine Hebert and Blanche (nee Brazeau).

For many years, Toni was a volunteer with Palliative Care at the North Bay Hospital. She enjoyed her plants and morning tea. She loved playing Rumoli with her sisters for over 50 years.

In respecting her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Internment will be held at St Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.

Donations in memory of Toni can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Society and will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
