Audrey Carson Obituary

Audrey Carson (Kirkham) passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 3, 2025 at the age of 87 after a short stay at Nipissing Serenity Hospice where she was treated with incredible care.

Audrey was born June 29, 1937 in Clarendon Ontario.  She was predeceased by her mother, Victoria Weber, born in Ardoch Ontario, and her father, Thomas Elwood Kirkham, born in Clarendon, Ontario.  Although she couldn’t visit often, Audrey cared deeply for her brothers and sisters who still live in the Perth area:  Eugene Kirkham, James Kirkham, June Kirkham, Mary McNamee, Vivian Kehoe, and Patricia Thompson (New Market area). She is survived by her son Tony.

Audrey’s passions where animals, dancing, and clothing.  She enjoyed putting together one of her signature colour co-ordinated outfits from her collection, and going out.  Because she was a homebody, Audrey never cultivated a large circle of friends, but she was deeply loved by all who knew her.  She enjoyed the company of her son’s friends and he regularly brought her out to parties where she loved to dance and socialize with the younger crowd.

Audrey has been cremated, as was her husband Raymond Earl Carson OPP officer, who passed away May 28, 2014. This summer Audrey and Raymond’s ashes will be put to rest at their plot in Perth followed by a gathering of her family to celebrate her life.  In the meanwhile, Friends and family are welcomed to gather for a celebration of Audrey's life on Sunday May 4th  between 2 and 5 pm at the Rorab Shrine Club, 1260 Brookes St, North Bay, Ontario, P1B 2P1

In lieu of flowers, any donations in mom’s memory should be made to Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the North Bay Humane Society.
