Audrey May Larochelle (nee Campbell) 1948-2022

Those of us you left behind will miss you deeply, those with whom you are reunited will rejoice in your homecoming. You are at peace, and for that we are forever grateful.

Each time we see a dragonfly hovering above us we will know that you had a safe journey, and you are still watching over us.

Missing you is your loving husband of 56 years, Maurice (Moe), a daughter who adores you, Rhonda Kunkel (Norm) a son who holds a bond with you that can never be broken, Maurice (Moe Jr.) and daughter-in-law Liz (widow of Richard), Granddaughter’s Kayley and Ambria and Grandsons Steven and Nate. Siblings Bob (Pauline), June Brousseau (Duke), Margaret Chuckry (Roy). Also missing you are many nephews and nieces, all of whom you cherished and all who loved you very much.

You told us you were ready to meet again with the others you have loved so much, now is your time to reunite with your beloved son Richard, who you always knew would be your beacon when your time drew near, (mom and dad) Robert and Gladys, your brothers Grant, Ron, Chuck, Ralph, and Jim, and the many more loved ones waiting to greet you.

Audrey spent her life helping others many of whom were disabled and or ill, for those who needed an advocate, she was their angel. She was loved by everyone who was under her care, bringing them into her home on her days off, going in early, making sure a special need was met and giving them love every day. Her love of children was enormous, she couldn’t pass a child without stopping to express that love. Early in her career as a PSW she went far beyond what was expected of her with the disabled children in her care. Many consider her their friend and still stay in touch; they too are going to miss her.

Audrey passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on September 20,2022 at the age of 73. Holding vigil through the night was her granddaughter Ambria. Our heartfelt thanks to the nurses on C1 at the NBRHC who cared for her and helped us through this emotional time. Our thanks to Dr. Roscoe, Dr. Leckie and her long-time care giver and confidant Dr. Cowan.
