Aurèle Sauvé

Sauvé, Aurèle (August 20, 1937 – March 27, 2021)

Aurèle passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday March 27, 2021 at Nipissing Serenity Hospice.

His greatest joy was his family.  He is survived, and will be greatly missed and thought of often, by his loving wife of 61 years Alice (nee Papineau) and his children, Lynn (Mickey Wilson) and Dan Sauvé.  Grandpa will be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren Christianne (Tyler Opper), Dale Wilson, Andrew (Maria) and Dylan Wilson (Keena) along with his great grandchildren Haedun, Jamie, Parker and Cody who affectionately knew him as Papie. Aurèle is also survived by his siblings Lina (Terry O’Neil) and Lucien “Lou” Sauvé along with a large extended family. He was predeceased by a daughter Colette (Luc Villeneuve - surviving) and a brother Lionel “Biz”.

Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services on Friday August 20th from 10 am until 12 pm.  A celebration of his life will follow at 12 (noon) pm at the funeral home. As per current COVID 19 directives the total number of attendees is limited, social distancing requirements must be respected, and masks or face coverings are required inside the funeral home.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to nurse Sandra of PARA Med and also to the caring and compassionate staff of Nipissing Serenity Hospice for the care given to Aurèle during his final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in memory of Aurèle which will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
