Brent Elliott Obituary

January 27th, 1990- December 7th, 2025

With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Brent George Elliott, age 35, on December 7th, 2025 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

Brent was born on January 27th, 1990 in Gander Newfoundland. He was the deeply loved son of Carole and George Elliott and cherished brother to Jamie Derosier (Amanda). Brent was the proud and loving uncle to his precious niece Kaitlin, who meant everything to him. He will also be deeply missed by his grandmother Janet Pope, his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Brent was fearless, adventurous and full of life from a young age. Whether riding three-wheelers, motorcycles or mopeds, he always approached every challenge with determination and a little mischief. He loved outdoor adventures: boating, fishing, camping, jumping from cliffs and anything that tested his courage.

Brent had a playful, stubborn spirit that stayed with him throughout his life. He was fiercely loyal to family and friends, always having their backs and had a heart big enough to share with anyone in need. Life with Brent was never boring; filled with laughter, pranks, daring stunts and unforgettable memories that will carry his loved ones through the years.

He was also thoughtful and reflective, able to face life’s challenges in his own way, always learning and always growing. Brent touched everyone he met with his humour and kindness; leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Even as he lived boldly, he reminds us of the importance of love, family and truly embracing every moment. Brent’s spirit, courage and heart will never be forgotten.

Writing was Brent’s passion. He began writing at a young age and always wrote from his heart. His words were honest, thoughtful and full of feelings, a true reflection of who he was.

He was a mom’s boy through and through, close with his family and shared many special moments that will be treasured forever.

Brent, your life was far too short, but your impact was deep and lasting. Your absence is heavy and you are missed more than words can say.

Donations in memory of Brent to The Gathering Place or the North Bay Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by his family.

You will always be an uncle, little brother and our baby boy, and we will love you forever.heart

Attached to the Tribute Wall is a letter that Brent wrote following the loss of a close friend. In it, he reflects on life and how he would want to be remembered. His writing was honest and deeply personal, and we are sharing it in his memory.
