Daniel Derek Deblois

Daniel Derek Deblois, 32, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 19th, 2021 at his home in New Westminster, BC.

Daniel was born February 12th, 1989 in North Bay, Ontario to Marc Deblois of London, Ontario and Helga Deblois (nee Petri) of North Bay, Ontario.

He was predeceased by grandparents Robert and Rae Deblois of North Bay and Henri and Veronika Petri of Powassan, Ontario.

Daniel was educated in North Bay and was subsequently drawn to the Pacific coast of Canada at an early age. He loved the beauty, the weather and the proximity to the ocean as well as the Fraser River waterfront of New Westminster.

His interests were many and they included art, helping others in need, and exploring the beauty of his adopted province British Colombia. His wit, charm and smile would enlighten any given moment and whoever encountered him were enchanted by his good nature. Dan was a bachelor until his passing.

He  is survived by his loving brother Robert Deblois (Brandy). Sadly missed by Marc’s wife Eliza Deblois and her children David and Lisa Bourque. He will be greatly missed by numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 4th at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road, North Bay, Ontario. As per current COVID 19 directives the total number of attendees is limited, social distancing requirements must be respected, and masks or face coverings are required inside the funeral home.
