David Shortt Obituary

David Joseph Shortt (1940-2023)

Dave passed away at Nipissing Serenity Hospice on Oct. 20, 2023.

Dave was predeceased by both his parents, two brothers, his wife Yollande and grandson Shawn.

He is survived by son Michael (Francine), Murray (Michelle) and cousin Doris Adams.

As a lad of 17, Dave worked underground mining. He later obtained several welding tickets and worked at St Jean’s and Northern Welding in Kirkland Lake. He also worked for the Town of Kirkland Lake as a welder and equipment operator.

At this time Dave would like to thank his family and friends for his many enjoyable visits. He so appreciated the laughs and stories shared. He also appreciated the care and dedication Dr. Moore and the staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice gave him.

As per Dave’s request there will be no service and cremation has taken place.
