It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that our family announces the passing of Donald MacLean at the Algonquin Nursing Home on March 15, 2026, at the age of 85.

Survived by his children Donald (Sylvie), Susan (Scott McCallum), Margaret (Gord Glionna), brother Gordon (wife Jean predeceased), sisters Helen (Larry) Novack and Debbie (Jim) Cripps, grandchildren Jennifer Bailey, Sara McLean (Shawn Levy), Samantha (Pat) Kavanaugh and Brogan MacLean and his great grandchildren Kacey and Nolan Bailey, Nyle and Laine Kavanaugh. Predeceased by Dolly, his loving wife of 60 years, daughter Donna, parents Lottie and Hugh MacLean and brother Russell (Jean).

Our family would like to sincerely thank the many caregivers at the Algonquin Nursing Home of Mattawa, the Mattawa General Hospital and those that provided care in his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
