Woodruff, Edward Joseph (1930-2025)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Edward Joseph “Eddie” Woodruff announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, in his 95th year.

Eddie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Berva, his parents, William and Edourdina (nee Foisy), and his siblings Francis (Minnie), Richard (Annabelle), Austin (Yollande), Roseleen Lepage (Joe), and Selma Raymond (Roland).

Eddie will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews and all who knew him.

He dedicated many years of service to the Ontario Northland Railway (ONR) before his well-earned retirement in 1994.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jinnah, Lori of the NBRHC Palliative Care team, the compassionate staff of Nipissing Serenity Hospice, and Dr. Cathers for their exceptional care and support throughout Eddie’s illness.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddie’s memory may be made to Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation (Palliative Care).
