EDWIN ALBERT IRONSIDE

(1948-2021)

With saddened hearts, we announce the death of Edwin Ironside, age 73, who passed away peacefully at Nipissing Serenity Hospice on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 with family by his side.

As per his wishes, he has been cremated.

Edwin was predeceased by his loving wife, Selena (Stringer) Ironside in 2014.

He was also predeceased by his parents, Hubert Ironside (1992) and Myrtle (Shelswell) Ironside (2014).

He was the proud father of four beautiful children. Rickey Ironside, Sherrey Ironside, James Ironside (Sharon) and Edwin (Jr.) Ironside.

He also had four siblings. Glen Ironside (Peggy), Kenneth (Jerry) Ironside (Fran), Ann Cooke (Predeceased 2000) and Marlene Ironside (Butch).

Edwin also leaves behind grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

As per their wishes, Selena’s and Edwin’s ashes will be put to rest at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery at a later date to be announced by the family.

His memory will remain forever in our hearts and he will be greatly missed.

The family would appreciate remembrance donations made to Nipissing Serenity Hospice, where he was cared for during his final days.
