Egidio Ernestro Boaro

Boaro, Egidio Ernestro (1926-2024)

Egidio was born in Castelfranco, Veneto, Italy in 1926 to the Giovanni and  Albina Boaro (nee Pietrobon).  He immigrated to Canada in 1951, took up residency in North Bay where he worked until retirement.  A very proud and accomplished man, he lived independently until he passed away.

Egidio was  predeceased by his wife, Caterina DeLuca, his parents Giovanni Boaro and Albina Pietrobon and a daughter Marcellina Boaro.  He is survived by his daughter Lucia Greco (Peter-predeceased) and son Angelo Boaro.  Egidio will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Dayna Greco (Vince Mahoney), Andrea (Greco) Deering (Cameron Deering), Megan Greco (JR Maramo), Cory Greco (Alexandra Butti- Greco), Nicholas Boaro and Ashley Boaro.  Also survived by great-grandchildren Declan and Finley Deering and Roman and Kit Greco.

A private family visitation will be held, followed by internment along side his wife Caterina, at St-Mary’s Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, North Bay Regional Health Centre, Sick Children’s Hospital or Nipissing Serenity Hospice in memory of Egidio will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
