Elizabeth (Betty) June MacGregor

MacGregor, Elizabeth June (a.k.a. Betty) passed away peacefully at Eastholme in Powassan, Ontario on April 11, 2019 in her 82nd year surrounded by family members following a lengthy battle with Alzheimers.  Betty was the beloved wife of Robert Alpin (deceased) and loving mother of Kim, Nancy and Terry (deceased).

Betty was the eldest of 10 siblings of Leo and Pearl Dinel (deceased).   Her siblings include:   Helen Mageau (deceased), Harold Dinel (deceased), Eileen Viau, Linda Goodwin (deceased), Jean Wheeler, Leonard Dinel (deceased), Ruth Austin, Doug Dinel (deceased), Patrick Dinel and Brenda Rutledge.   Betty is survived by 8 nieces and 8 nephews along with 11 great nieces and 10 great nephews.

Betty was a long time business woman and owned Betty’s Party Supplies she was also a member of the North Bay Chamber of Commerce for many years. An avid curler and golfer she was past president of the upgrading/construction project to revamp the Granite Club in 1985, to meet the revised Provincial standards for such structures.  

A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at the Granite Club, 2624 Trout Lake, Road, North Bay, Ontario on Monday, June 3,  2019 from 2 until 4 pm.

Betty's family extends their heartfelt thanks and recognition to all the staff of Eastholme for their outstanding and compassionate and understanding care and especially the nurses on the 3rd floor south and Dr. Ng throughout Betty's many years at Eastholme.
