Enid Marjorie Bastien (Hubbard)

At Bough Beeches residence, Mississauga On, Enid passed away peacefully at the age of 89.

Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Dan Bastien, the love of her life and best friend. Dear mother of daughters Leslie Carello (Greg) and Sandy Bastien. She will be sadly missed by her 6 Grandchildren Pietro Carello (Tanya), Jillian Lotan (Travis), Alexander Carello (Cheryl), Graeme Carello (Sarah), Avery & Greer Meilleur (Aris). And, her nine great grandchildren Ruby & Sloan Carello, Adrina, Cecilia & Conley Lotan, Vivian & Olivia Carello, Damon King & Theodore Carello.

Enid lived her life to the fullest. In their early years, Enid & Dan were active curlers, skiers and enjoyed travelling the world with their many friends. For several years she was involved with the MS Walkathon in North Bay, was a member for many years with ITC and as a devout Christian, she enjoyed her bible studies with her ANIC family. The family cottage was a great refuge and she loved to putter around the lot. Enid was a prolific reader & writer ; she wrote children’s fairy tales when her children were young, and continued to write, but missed that last chapter of her own autobiography. She began her working career with hydro as a secretary in the 1950’s, and retired in 1989 after working 23 years at Ray Gordon Equipment Rentals.

Service will be held at Hillside Funeral Services on Friday, May 2, 2025

11:00 – 12:00 visitation

12:00 service with reception to follow.
