Irene passed her last hours on Saturday, August 8, surrounded by family, enjoying stories of good times and shenanigans past.

These memories will continue to be shared by her children Lee (Alice), Shelly, Shirley Ashford (Leonard), Leonard (Maureen), Carrie James (Chris), Ross, Robin and Scott (Jan), as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Anne Thorsen (Peter), and her family.

Irene’s light will shine on for her brothers and sisters of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Widdifield Congregation.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A private family event will be held Saturday, August 16. Her congregation will be remembering her at a service on Saturday, August 16 at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall off Hwy 63. They open their arms and doors to anyone who wishes to join them.
