June 22 1927 -July 15 2021

Peacefully on July 15th at the North Bay Regional Health Center, with family by her side, Mom went home to be with her Lord and Saviour.

She was the loving mother to Kristine (Bob Nicholls) Michael Huard ( deceased) and Glen Huard, friend Wendy Scott.

She was a wonderful Grandmother to Emma (Jim Wilson) Kristen (James Easterbrook) Scott Nicholls (Angela) Erik Nicholls (Krysta) Nicklas Huard and Alexis Huard.  She was a Great Grandmother to Judah, Mercy, Atirah, Eliyah, Malachi and Amos Wilson, Violet and Ivy Easterbrook, Lillian, Stella and Claire Nicholls and Henrik and Ella Jane and baby to be Nicholls.

Dear mother-in-law to Louise (Jeff Barton). Lovingly remembered by Maire (Bruce Alexander. Mother-in-law to Frances D'Andrea.

Mom was born in Haileybury Ontario and lived there most of her life. She married Bob Huard and together they built their home and raised their 3 children.

Over her lifetime she was employed at the Sheriff''s Office in Haileybury and later at the Haileybury Land Registry Office.

Mom was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She loved flowers and had a beautiful flower garden. She had many hobbies which included leather making, sewing, pottery, crocheting and knitting. She knit hundreds of mitts for family and friends and donated many more.

She was a kind, gracious lady, always ready with a listening ear and coffee and tea. She made the best cinnamon buns and Knake brod (Swedish bread).

In 2013 she moved to North Bay to be closer to her family. She lived at Marina Point Retirement Home until her passing.

Our family wishes to thank Dr. Brian Shaw for his kindness and wonderful care of Mom over the years. Thank you to the PSW's and the Health Care Providers who attended to her needs at Marina Point.

Thank you also to the Staff in the Emergency Department and Staff on D3 and C3 at the NBRH. Special thanks to Kiri and Emma for their kind care and attention at the end of her life.

A private family service will be held. Internment to follow at the Mt. Pleasant cemetery in Haileybury.

If desired, donations can be made to the North Bay Regional Hospital Foundation and/or the Gathering Place in North Bay in memory of mom.
