Frances (Sabourin) MacDougall

MacDougall, Frances (Francoise, Marie Solange Sabourin) of Guelph, formerly, North Bay Ontario passed away on Tuesday November 2, 2021 at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of Earl MacDougall (Oct. 28, 2002). Frances was one of 13 children & is survived by her kindred & loving sister Rita Bouchard (Montreal). Also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Before her marriage, she lived with her parents Awilda & Israel Sabourin in Cache Bay and helped run their store & local Post Office. Frances loved to entertain & was noted for her many delicious meals for family & friends. There were always fun & good times at the MacDougall household on K&K Drive.

As a result of Earl’s work in the mining industry they also lived in Matachewan, Yellowknife, Perron, Chibougamau, Quebec & Manitouwadge. She will forever be missed by her family especially Darlene & Al Homeniuk.

Family will receive friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Friday Nov. 12, 2021 from 9:30 until 11:15 am followed immediately by the funeral mass at 11:30 am at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 299 Airport Rd. Rite of Committal will be Sat. Nov. 13, 2021 at 10:00 am at St Mary’s Cemetery. As per current COVID-19 directives the total number of attendees is limited, social distancing requirements must be respected, and masks or face coverings are required inside the funeral home and the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Arthritis Society or a charity of your choice.
