George Maroosis

It is with profound sadness that Angela and Kalla Maroosis officially announce the passing of their beloved father, George Peter Maroosis (22 December 1945 - 10 November 2023).

Son of the late Gus and Lola Maroosis (nee Vounalaki). Brother of Lillian (deceased), Sylvia, Rheta, Mary and Penny. Grandfather of Emma and Nikos.

Common-law partner to Dawn. Stepfather to her children Erik and Sabrina. Step-grandfather to Costa and Faye.

A celebration of his life and legacy will be held at the Elks Lodge, 325 Elks Ln, North Bay, ON, P1B 7Z4 on Sunday 26 November 2023 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

The Maroosis family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, a new, unwrapped toy be donated to the organization he loved so much, and chaired for decades, L.I.P.I. – Low Income People Involvement. These donations can be made at the Celebration of Life or by contacting L.I.P.I. directly.

As a lifelong educator and friend to many, the family would like those attending to come prepared to share their stories. Our father always loved a good story.
