Beattie, Gordon (1940–2025)

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of Gordon Beattie at his residence on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the age of 85 years.

Gordon was the loving husband of 53 years to Helene. He was a proud father to Cathy (Tim), David, Mark, Christine, and Melanie.

He was a cherished grandfather to Crystal, Craig (Claudia), Jennifer, T.J. (Tiffany), Steven, Amber, and Sierra, and a very special grandpa to his autistic granddaughter, Adele. Gordon was also a great-grandfather to Damien. He is survived by his sister, Marylee (Bob) Moynan, and will be sadly missed by many extended family members and friends. Gordon was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Charlie and Yvonne Beattie, and by his biological mother, Marie. He was predeceased by his first wife Jean. He will also be missed by his fur babies, Angel and Aspen. 

A deeply faithful man, Gordon devoted many years of service to his church and parish community. He was actively involved in all aspects of parish life, generously giving his time and energy wherever it was needed. Gordon served faithfully as a Minister of Holy Communion and took great pride in supporting church activities and outreach. His quiet dedication, strong faith, and willingness to serve left a lasting impression on fellow parishioners, clergy, and all who worshipped alongside him.

Family will be receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport road, North Bay, on Sunday December 28, 2025 between 1:00pm and 3:00pm with a funeral mass to be held on Monday December 29, 2025 at St. Peter the Apostle Church at 11:00am.
