It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Harvey Ellis Millett, on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at the age of 95.
Born in Nova Scotia, Harvey had a lengthy career in construction, working well into his 80s. He enjoyed fishing and was a master at Yahtzee.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie-Rose, and many siblings. He will be fondly remembered by his children: Diane Bédard, Marc Cousineau (late Cherie), Pauline O’Brien (late Gary), Monique Loney (Gord), Johanne Pellerin (Norm), Harvey Houle (Laura), and Cathy Houle.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Paul, Michel, Christopher, Jeffrey, Adam, Colin, Justin, Brandon, Dylan, and Samantha, and his great-grandchildren Mathieu, Justin, Jace, Camila, and Connor.
Special thanks are due to his long-term physician, Dr. Rotondo, and to his nurse practitioner, Mary Jemmett, whose care allowed Dad to remain independent in his own home. We would also like to acknowledge the compassionate care of the RNs, PSWs, and other NBRHC staff who made his final days so comfortable.
Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Saturday March 14th from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. A celebration of his life will follow at 3:30 pm.
Donations in memory of Harvey to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
