Helen Gladys Belecque ( nee Wilson)

December 26, 1925- June 22, 2020

The family is saddened to announce the death of our Mother, Grandmother, and GreatGrandmother, Helen, at Cassellholme at the age of 94 years.

Helen was predeceased by Emile, her husband of 72 years in February 2020.

She leaves to mourn her beloved children, Bob ( Joan) of Barrie, Ray ( Nancie) of Kenogami and Annette ( Mario Robitaille) of Niagara Falls.

The best Grandmother will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Rob and Kim Belecque of Parry Sound, Nancy and Jeff Texmo of Barrie, Mandy and Blair Buchman of North Bay, Derek and Kate Marshall of Stouffville, Brian and Karla Marshall of Iroquois Falls, B.J. Marshall of Burlington, and Jamie and April Belecque of Kenogami.

Great Grandma is lovingly remembered by Calob Marshall, Alex Buchman, Joel Texmo, Spencer Marshall, Lucas Texmo, Charlotte Marshall, Aiden Marshall, Ava Belecque, Karter Buchman, and Colton Marshall.

Helen was born and raised in Cochrane, Ontario, the daughter of  the late James and Gladys (O'Neil) Wilson.  She is survived by her youngest sister, Barbara Farquhar ( late Roy) of Kincardine.  Predeceased by siblings Donald Wilson,  Alletta Kirkbride ( late Jack), Dorothy Ireland ( late Bill and Boyd Simms), Lloyd Wilson, Ron Wilson, Bill Wilson, Gordon Wilson, Marion Pisler ( late Joe), and Bernice Wilson (late Jim Kerr).

Helen was an excellent  homemaker, cook, and baker, She lived throughout the north before settling in North Bay following Emile's retirement.  Her ability to make strong friendships wherever she lived was her hallmark.

Cremation has taken place.  In the near future a celebration of life will take place with immediate family.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to staff and volunteers at Cassellholme who loved and cared for Helen during the last two years.
