Homer Desjardins Obituary

Desjardins, Homer George (1930 – 2020) Homer passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday April 10th, 2020 at the age of 90 years.

He was the loving husband of 70 years to Marjory Benard. Dear father of Douglas, Sandra and Kevin (Diane). He will be fondly remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters Claire Zufelt and Lucy Green.

Predeceased by five brothers and eight sisters.

Homer was an active and proud member of the Widdifield Lions Club serving many years and had the life member award.

The family wants to thank to the Nurses and Doctors of NBRHC Emerg/CCU and special thanks to the nurses of 3C Unit and to Dr Cuncins during Homer's Palliative and 35 years of care.

Due to the current pandemic, cremation has taken place. A graveside service for Homer will be held this summer, day and time to be announced.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Homer will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
