Jack Edward McIlroy

It with profound sadness to announce Jack Edward McIlroy passed away on Wednesday June 18 at the age of 76, with his family by his side after a lengthy battle of cancer.

Loving husband to Wendy (MacDonell), his high school sweetheart, just shy of their 55th anniversary.  Proud and devoted father to Heather (Chris Mahoney) and Mark (Pavla Pospisil).  Loving Poppa to Megan and Kaitlin.  Adoring big brother to Julie (Dennis Evans) and Janette (Michael Mederios).  He was predeceased by his parents Hanlan and Violet McIlroy and older sister Joan. 

Jack always put his family first, and in his eyes that was his greatest accomplishment.  So many memories and love were shared. Jack loved being outdoors, motor biking, fishing, and riding his four-wheeler.

There will be a celebration of life on Sunday June 22 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Services. A special tribute to Jack will be held at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated.
