Janet (Landon) O'Connor

Janet O’Connor

February 22, 1934 - October 17, 2025

Janet was the daughter of the late Horace Landon and Nora Murray of Barry’s Bay. She was predeceased by her husband Archie O’Connor in 1984. She was the Mother of Patricia O’Connor (Philip Lalande) of Shanty Bay, Dawn O’Connor-Rea (Jamie Rea) of Guelph, Sean O’Connor of Apsley, and Christopher O’Connor of North Bay. She was the Grandmother (“Gran”) of Erin Lalande (Avery), Connor Lalande, David Rea (Chelsea), Brendan Rea (Erin), and Keely O’Connor (mother Jennifer). She was the Great-Grandmother of Millee Rea. 

Janet was the last Landon of her generation having outlived all of her siblings and their spouses: Doris (Michael) McCrea, Edward Landon, Irma (Chris) Lowell, Malcolm Landon, Murray (Verna) Landon, twin Joan (Lloyd) Quinn, and John (Marie) Landon. 

Janet was raised in Barry’s Bay, lived most of her life in North Bay, and cherished summers at her cottage on the O’Connor family homestead, Golden Lake.

She passed away at the North Bay Regional Hospital with her niece, Anne Marie Landon, at her side.  All arrangements are private as per Janet’s wishes.
