Jeannine (Nadeau) Courvoisier

Courvoisier, Jeannine (nee Nadeau) 1938 – 2020 - passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday February 18th, 2020 at the age of 81 yrs.

Predeceased by her husband Leonard. Loving mother of Jerry (Lillian), Larry, Kerry Ridler (Michael), Sherry Kelleher (Derek) and Terry Courvoisier.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Paul (Samantha), Adam (Katie), Erin (Dale), Alex (Kayla), Jennifer, Patrick (Karli), Jonathan (Deirdre), Carisa (Evan), Samantha Ridler, Ryan Kelleher, Kelsey Johanson (Tim) and Alexis as well as great grandchildren Caelum, Winsor, Griffin, Jackson, Jordyn, Carter and Carson.

Also survived by her siblings Pierrette, Jean-Paul (Claire), Claude (Blanche), Laurent (Yvonne – deceased), Gilles (Christiane), Denis (Judy), Francine Mathon (Gilles).

Predeceased by her parents Paul Henri & Marie-Anne (nee Martel) Nadeau and her siblings Henriette Berube (Raymond – deceased), Noël (Jeannette – surviving) and Rosaire.

Jeannine enjoyed family get-togethers & playing cards. She started her working career as a waitress in the camps with her dad. Later on worked at the Sundial in Orillia. Her husband moved their family to North Bay where they opened their own pizzeria. She then switched careers to become a foster parent for over 30 years.

Jeannine was a source of inspiration for many people throughout her life ; she was the go to person  when family or friends  needed somebody they could confide in , they could trust that she would provide them the guidance and advice they sought even at times when it wasn’t what they expected or hoped to hear; she was very honest and straightforward. Jeannine will be missed by many.

Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES on Monday February 24th from 12 until 2 pm. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jeannine to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by her family.
