Jeannine Filiatrault

Filiatrault, Jeannine - Our angel of angels passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Center on Thursday, May 5th at the age of 82 years.

Beloved wife of the late Jacques Filiatrault (2018). Loving mother of Michelle (Marcel), Guy (Patricia), Jean-Marc (Denise), Roger (Lise), Danielle (Paul), Alain (Sandy). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Mathieu (Stacey), Martin, Manon (Steve), Faythe (Ron), Jacques (Osheanna), Curtis, Matthew (Cindy), Patrick (Allison), Christian (Ashley), Raymond (Brenda), André (Nicole), Natalie (Jamie), Julie (Raphaël), Janie (Alexandre), Bailey (Eliz), Riley, Connor and Janique (deceased), Anick (deceased) and Renée (deceased). She will be lovingly remembered by her 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by her siblings Jacqueline Laperrière (Rheal-deceased), Rolande Gauthier(Rod), Réanne (Larry-deceased)(Gene Desjardins), Monique (Julien-deceased), Ricky-deceased (Marleen-surviving) and Jean-Paul (Holly). Survived by Jacques’ siblings Pamelia (Jean-deceased), Roger (Fernande-deceased), Simone, Soeur Juliette, Gabriel (Vivian) and predeceased by Bernard (Mercedes), Jeanne, Fr. Guy and Fr. Gerard, Denise Drolet and Louis.

Jeannine was a long time volunteer with Les Dames de Ste-Anne and was part of Les Filles d’Isabelle (Sts Anges and St. Vincent). She spent countless hours volunteering with the funeral luncheon committee and volunteered at Sacred Heart School with the Rainbow Club. She was part of the North Bay Golden Age Club where she took care of organising many bus tours. She will be missed by all who knew her.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. King and the staff on B3 for the compassion and care Mom received during her stay.

Due to COVID, the family wishes that you wear a mask at the funeral home and at the service. Family will be receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd on Monday, May 9th, from 2 until 4pm and 7 until 9pm. A funeral mass will be held at Paroisse St Vincent de Paul on Tuesday, May 10th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay and District Alzheimer’s Society or “Rainbows For All Children Canada” in memory of Mom will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
