Johann Popp

Popp, Johann - Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre surrounded by his family on Wednesday May 26th, 2021 at the age of 86.

Loving husband of the late Waltrault Popp (nee Marx) for 50 years. Beloved father of John (Christine), Anita Kapitanchuk (Perry), Nancy Falkenberg (Alfred) and Thomas (Julie). Loving grandfather of Jonathan Kapitanchuk, Noah Falkenberg, Emily Kapitanchuk and Aidan Falkenberg. He is survived by his brothers George, Willi and his sister Maria Bentele, in Germany and predeceased by his brothers Fritz and Philip.

John was the proud owner of John’s Plumbing and Heating and Champlain Builders. He was a member of the Germania Club, and  was actively involved with the club, especially his love of soccer. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.

As per his request, there will be no visitation or service. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date, once Covid restrictions are lifted.

Donations in memory of John can be made to the North Bay Regional Health Centre. The family would really like to  thank the staff on B1 for the extraordinary care they provided to our father which was very much appreciated, simply the best!
