John Else Obituary
Jack passed away on Thursday January 19th at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by his parents William and Margaret, his brothers George and Jim and his sister Margaret. Loving father to Liz Brazeau (Marc Blouin), Ed (Jenn) and David (Stephanie). Lovingly remembered by Lorna Sutherland. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Melissa (Jeff), Micheal, Christina and Sarah.
A Korean War Veteran, Jack served in the Canadian Military. He served in Korea and Germany. After his time in the military he worked in various occupations ending his working life at the Cochrane Plywood Plant and as a taxi driver.
He was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion at Branch 445 in Callander. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legions in Cochrane and Kirkland Lake. He enjoyed the comradeship of his many friends. He loved volunteering and spending time with people.
He loved life and spent many hours playing cards with family and friends, playing darts, horseshoes and baseball. He loved to laugh and make people happy, he will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday February 12, 2023 from 2pm until time of service at 3 pm at the Callander Legion Branch 445 located at 345 Lansdowne st. Callander. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack may be made to Branch 445 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
