John Jeanneault Obituary

JEANNEAULT, Jon J. - Born in North Bay on July 25, 1946. Jon passed away in his 78th year after a courageous life after the loss of his beloved wife, Georgette, who passed away in 2017. Jon was man of faith, who prayed for all. Dear Father to Deborah DeVuono and Roxanne Jeanneault. Jon was proud of his Grandsons he called, two gentleman' Ryan (Megan) DeVuono and Jarryd (Asha) DeVuono. Jon had one great grandchild named Erra, with another on the way. Jon is survived by his mother, Mary Anne Jeanneault, predeceased by his Father Jean Baptiste Jeanneault and his sister Audrey Dirks.

Jon, the eldest of 13 children, will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his by surviving siblings, Jim (Colette), Larry (Helen), Robert (Candice), Myles (Angie), Karen Bitonti (Gino), Fran McParland (Tom), Anastasia KT (John) O'Sullivan, Kevin, Ani Gallagher, Ken (Chantal) and Marianne McCarthy (Kent). Jon had more than 70 nieces and nephews.

Jon enjoyed his fellow work-mates while being employed at Ontario Power Generation and enjoyed the company of those friends after retirement. He was a quiet man and would come out of his shell when defending decentness towards others. In his younger years, he painted with oil: an amazing artist. He took his Godfather duties seriously and positively influenced those lucky enough to have had him. He had an appetite for reading. Jon was a scholar of history and its application to The Bible. He contributed articles/letters to the editor as far away as Russia, sharing his views on spirituality and the need for it in society. He gave to the poor, needy and elders without talking about it.

Jon died at home with his daughter Roxanne at his side, on the anniversary week of his wife's passing. He loved the family life they had as homebodies. They were content.
