Jordan Gardiner Obituary

Jordan Gardiner

July 2, 1991 - February 7, 2023

On February 7, 2023 the world lost a bright light. Jordan passed away after a heroic battle with cancer.  His family and friends were by his side, showering him with love and affection.

Jordan leaves behind his loving wife Paige Shemilt, parents Darla and Keith Bates, brother Mitchel Gardiner, sister Aubrey Bates, loving pets Hope, Margaux, and Teddy, Godson Alex Sabourin, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many good friends.

Jordan was a warm, caring, thoughtful and compassionate young man.  He treated everyone with kindness and respect.  Jordan chose to become a Paramedic and was outstanding, as evidenced by the adoration of his colleagues, his dedication to the profession and most importantly to the patients he cared for. With his whole heart, Jordan loved his family, friends, and fur-babies. His greatest love was his high school sweetheart, best friend and wife, Paige.  Jordan enjoyed playing cards, board games, video games, volleyball, and spending time with friends and family. He had a wicked, and sometimes warped, sense of humour and a true gift for making others laugh.  He was an absolute joy to be around!

Jordan lived his life with passion and purpose.  He was determined to make a positive impact on others. He took the challenges that he was faced with and turned them into opportunities to make a difference. He is admired by family and friends and respected by the community for his extensive charitable work, resulting in significant contributions to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Colon Cancer Canada and the community of North Bay.

Rest now our dearest Jordan for we will carry on your good work and legacy.  We will forever keep you in our hearts!
