Twain, Joseph (1936-2025)

Joseph passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday March 28, 2025 at the age of 89 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Simone (nee Beaulieu), two grandchildren Jesse and Jeffrey Twain and brothers Bill and Floyd. Dear father of Kim Twain and Tracie Twain (Harry Snipper predeceased). Joe will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Benjamin Keating (Destiny), Elizabeth Keating, many nieces, nephews, his remaining sibling Geraldine Hoffer (Johnny) of Winnipeg and countless friends he made over the years.

Joe was a proud member and Elder of Temagami First Nation.

As per his wishes there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at The North Bay Indigenous Center on April 22nd from 11am to 2 pm.

Donations to the Ojibway Women’s Centre in memory of Joseph will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.  

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care from the staff at NBRHC and years of care and compassion from Dr Wendy Graham.
