Lanny James

James, Lanny Ross (September 28, 1939 - September 18, 2024)

The family is saddened to announce the passing of our dear Lanny on September 18th, 2024 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre surrounded by the love of his family in his 85th year.  Cherished husband of 58 years to Ruth James.  Proud father of Stephen (Diane), and Greg (Tracy).  He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Makayla, and Hannah James.  Also survived by his sister Betty Taylor (Late Bill) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Lanny had suffered a great loss this past June when Zoe his Cocker Spaniel crossed over the rainbow bridge, we are comforted in knowing that they have now been reunited.  As was one of the founding members of the North Bay Symphony, Lanny was a violinist with them for 30 years.  Lanny took great pride of his 36 year career with the MTO and after retirement he enjoyed his time spent at the cottage. 

The family will be receiving friends for a visitation on Sunday September 22, 2024 from 1 pm until 3 pm at Hillside Funeral Services with a service to follow.
