Laurette Labelle Obituary

Labelle, Laurette (nee Seguin) – It is with great sorrow that the Labelle family announces the passing of their Mother and Nana in Mattawa on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the age of 92 years old.  

She was predeceased by her husband Theodore and son Claude.  Loving mother of Marcel Labelle (Pat Veltri), Suzanne Holderny (Shawn – deceased), Rachelle Labelle (Ron Trudel), Lise Picariello (Mike), Monique Labelle and Stephane Labelle (Michelle). She will be sadly missed by her 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

Laurette was a long time devoted employee of the Golden Dragon and Chicago Restaurant as well as owner and operator of Widdifield Taxi. 

Even with her busy schedule, Laurette loved being a hockey mom and travelling with the team to cheer them on. 

Mom/Nana, You will remain forever in our hearts and missed everyday. We love you very much and want to thank you for everything. 

Special thanks to the entire staff at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa for their care and kindness.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
 

A memorial mass will be celebrated at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul on Thursday, September 9 at 11:00 am.  Following the mass, she will be interred with her husband Theodore at St. Mary’s Cemetery. 

 

As per current COVID 19 directives social distancing requirements must be respected, and masks or face coverings are required inside the church.
