Laurianne (Durocher) Blais

Laurianne Blais (nee Durocher)  (1927-2023)

Laurianne passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Cassellholme on Monday May 29th 2023 at the age of 95. 

Predeceased by her loving husband Pierre Blais.  She was the beloved mother of Ronald (Pauline Trudel), Marcelle Gravelle, Normand (Suzanne Lecompte), Gabrielle (Massimo Ridi-Deceased), Pierrette (Robert Villeneuve), Marie-Paule Blais, Rachelle Blais, et Linda (Alain Corriveau).  Also survived by 13 grand-children, 15 great grand-children as well as two great-great grand-children.  Predeceased by her brothers Marcel and Claude Durocher and also her sister Jaqueline Sache (Leo). Laurie will be sadly missed by her sisters Henriette (Clément Hebert, deceased), Lise (Gerald Thompson, deceased), Suzanne (Raymond Paquette, deceased), Gisele (Marcel Lauzon, deceased), as well as her brothers Gaston (Alice Durocher), and Maurice (Marilyn Durocher).  Laurie was a devoted mother, who was happiest when surrounded by her beautiful family.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Services, 326 Airport Rd. on Friday June 2nd, 2023 at 12 noon followed with a celebration of her life at 1pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Cassellholme: Home of the Aged or a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated. 

We would like take this time to thank the wonderful staff at Cassellholme for their excellent care given towards our mother during her 5 years of stay and especially in her final moments.
