Leonard Gauthier

Gauthier, Leonard (January 1st, 1951- May 3rd, 2024)

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father Leonard Gauthier at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice surrounded by his loving family at the age 73. Loving husband of 52 years to Bonnie Gauthier.  Beloved father of Glen Gauthier (Melissa), Natalie Taillefer (Marcel), and Allan Gauthier (Lisa). He will be lovingly remembered by all of his grandchildren Kaylyn (Clayton), Matthieu, Andréa, Molly (Jonathan), Emma, Isabelle, Kadey, Krystal, Brooke, and Jaylin. Proud great grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren.  

Predeceased by his parents Solomon and Marie (nee Allard) and his siblings Bernadette, Francis, Andrew and Noella. He is survived by his siblings Veronica (Robert), Roderick (Rollande), Reginald (Rita), Lorraine (Nazer), Keith, Rev. Kenneth, Linda (Jacques) and Vincent.

Leonard was a hard worker who retired from LHD as a welder fitter foreman. He enjoyed playing cards, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, watching the Toronto Blue Jays and playing Hank Williams on his guitar and violin. He was a caring man who lived his life for his family and adored spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and forever in our thoughts.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd on Saturday June 1st, 2024 between 11am and 1pm. 

A heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for their dedication and care.
