MALLORY, Lola Frances (nee Holden) - It is with great sadness and sense of loss that the Mallory family announces the death of our wife and mother on May 19, 2021 after a long battle with complications brought on by dementia.

She is also survived by Jim Mallory, her husband of 59 yrs., and 5 children: Paula-Marie Manuel, Francine Duquette, James Mallory, Allison Jamieson (Rob) and Steven Mallory (Danielle). Lola was a stay-at-home mom who took great pride in her family and her home. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She cherished the company of friends at social gatherings and could be counted on to enliven any event with her sense of humour and spontaneous personality. She was an avid bridge player and very accomplished at crafts such as knitting, sewing and paper tolling. She also loved gardening. Lola was extremely committed to her Catholic Faith and served on various committees within the Catholic Womans’ League and local church functions.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Hillside Funeral Services and as per her wishes, and due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will host a celebration of her life at our home at a later date to be announced.
A special note of appreciation goes to Dr. Connor Edie and his colleagues for their care and concern for Lola during her illness. As well, the family was overwhelmed with gratitude for the compassion, attention, and professional care displayed by Mary-Ann and the other nurses assigned to care for her during her time on C3 at the hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre would be gratefully appreciated.
Lola, you have fought the good fight. You have finished the race. Now go and claim your eternal reward.
- Jim
