Lucille Marie Collins
June 8, 1930 – June 18, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Lucille Marie Collins (née Gaudette), wife of 69 years of the late Ken Collins. She peacefully left us on June 18, 2025, at the Au Château residence in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario.
Born on June 8, 1930, in Chapeau, Quebec, Lucille was the beloved daughter of Euclide and Estelle Gaudette. Her siblings were: Simonne (LeGuerrier), Bernice (Kelly), Rheal, Aldamar, Val, and Pauline (Barbe)
She was a devoted and loving mother to her five children: Greg (Maggie Bérubé), Dan (Melanie Molloy), Paul (Shelly Stack), Pat (Bev Hope), and Nancy (Mario Payeur). She was a proud grandmother to Olivier, Alexis, Rosalie, Carly, Sydney, Cara, Cody, Spencer, Logan, Emily, and Jacob, and a cherished great-grandmother to Pézie, Edelyn, and Tucker. Lucille also held a special place in her heart for Chris and Andrew Ginn.
Throughout her life, Lucille worked at Booth Lumber in Tee Lake, Quebec, the Protestant School Board in Témiscaming, and later with the Sudbury Board of Education’s Film Library. She was a lifelong member of the Témiscaming Golf Club, a passionate golfer, and a dedicated volunteer within her church community in New Sudbury, Ontario.
Lucille will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family this summer at the Témiscaming Cemetery.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of the first, second, and third floors at Au Château Residence in Sturgeon Falls for the excellent care and compassion shown to both Lucille and Ken.
